To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.Observation: These are the go to verse when dealing with sorrows in this life. These are the verses, that f.or some reason offer us comfort. We know that all things have their time to begin, and their time to end, but something about seeing it written in God's word, comforts the heart when nothing else will. Even those who claim that there is no God, find comfort in these verses.
Application: These scriptures have a personal application in my life today. And they offer me the chance to take the Word of God and show my children, that in our sorrows, God's Word still applies, and more importantly, that God's Word offers us that which our heart craves the most. I am thankful for the Word of God, for the promises of God, and for the love that every single word He has given us, shows.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, My heart is heavy today with the things going on in my life. But Lord, I know that this sorrow is temporary, and I thank you Lord, not only for Your word, but for the ability to show my children that no matter what is going on, You are faithful, and Your word is always what we need. Lord, I do ask a special prayer for wisdom in the choices we make in the upcoming days, and more than that Lord, I ask for comfort from You. I know You are faithful, and I thank you for answering prayers, now I ask that as we accept Your answers, that You would give us strength. Again, Lord, thank you for your word, and for the chance to show my children the love of God. In Jesus name, Amen.
